The route begins gently along the canal; halfway through, you’ll reach the Vidourle Gates, a hydraulic structure designed to protect the town of Aigues-Mortes from flooding and a testament to the close bond between humans and their environment. The route continues through a shaded wood, perfect for relaxation.
Further on, the trail runs alongside a ranch, where you might be lucky enough to spot Camargue horses and bulls.
Amid water, forest, and local traditions, this varied walk offers an authentic immersion in the region’s natural beauty and living heritage.
