The resources for sorting waste properly in Terre de Camargue

Sorting waste properly helps reduce waste treatment costs, preserve natural resources and protect our environment. Every action counts !

Committed to responsible waste management, the Terre de Camargue Community of Municipalities has introduced a collection system adapted to the needs of residents and visitors, while ensuring that treatment costs are kept under control.

It also encourages waste reduction, sorting and composting, and offers awareness-raising activities throughout the year focusing on waste reduction, composting and the ecological transition, in partnership with the municipalities and local associations. These initiatives help everyone better understand the importance of sorting waste and adopt simple habits.

To make composting easier, Terre de Camargue provides compost bins free of charge.

They are distributed by appointment by the Waste Prevention Service, together with a user guide and a food waste caddy for easily transporting kitchen waste to the compost bin.

You can also request a free food waste caddy from the Aigues-Mortes Tourist Office, subject to availability.
