Every year in April, Aigues-Mortes celebrates the arrival of spring with Spring in Camargue, a festive and family-friendly weekend at the heart of local traditions. Between sheep transhumance, roussataïo, children’s activities, and delicious discoveries, the town comes to life in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

THE PROGRAM OF Spring in Camargue

    Every year in April, Aigues-Mortes celebrates the arrival of the new season with a festive, friendly, and discovery-filled weekend. A family-oriented and warm gathering, marked by Camargue traditions, nature, and sharing.

    Over the course of two days, the town center comes alive and offers a varied program that blends musical performances, games for children, fun workshops, exhibitions, and tastings :

    • Transhumance of sheep through the streets of the town
    • Roussataïo, the release of mares with their foals
    • Demonstrations of Provençal dances
    • A mini-pedagogical farm for the youngest
    • Workshops and treasure hunts in the town
    • Art exhibitions and local craftsmanship
    • Tasting of AOP Sable de Camargue wines
    • Musical animations

    A festive springtime in the heart of the Camargue, where traditions, nature, and family fun come together in Aigues-Mortes.

    Parking

    All parking areas in Aigues-Mortes remain accessible throughout the weekend.

    ANIMALS

    Pets are allowed during the festival. However, due to large crowds, we recommend staying vigilant, as the noise and bustle may stress animals and make them less visible to other visitors.

    WEATHER

    All events will go ahead regardless of weather conditions.
    Only a weather alert issued by Météo France or severe weather may lead to the cancellation of certain festivities.
