Here are some solutions to reach us gently and discover the medieval city in a different way.
► From Nîmes Centre station, take the TER train or TER bus towards Le Grau-du-Roi. Get off at Aigues-Mortes station, located 5 minutes’ walk from the city centre and the ramparts.
► liO bus line 132 also provides connections between Nîmes and Aigues-Mortes.
At Nîmes Pont du Gard TGV station, a shuttle bus or TER train allows you to reach Nîmes Centre station :
Once at Nîmes Centre, take the TER or TER bus towards Le Grau-du-Roi until Aigues-Mortes station.
► From the bus station located behind Nîmes Centre station, liO bus line 132 also provides a direct connection to Aigues-Mortes.
The TER train stations of Le Grau-du-Roi, Vauvert and Aimargues, located near Aigues-Mortes, are connected to the medieval town by liO buses, line 132, as well as line 606 (only from Le Grau-du-Roi).
From Montpellier Sud de France station, take liO bus line 606 towards Aigues-Mortes. The bus drops you off at the entrance of the medieval city, close to the ramparts.
From Montpellier Saint-Roch station, take tram line 1 (blue line) towards Odysseum, get off at Place de France stop, walk to the nearby bus stop and take liO bus line 606 towards Aigues-Mortes. The journey takes about 1h10 and brings you to the foot of the ramparts with views over the Camargue landscapes.
If you arrive at Lunel station and have booked a carpool, dedicated spaces are available : when leaving the station, on the right, just after the bus parking area. Around ten spaces are reserved for carpooling.
The Occitanie Rail Tour Pass allows you to travel on the Camargue line between Nîmes and Le Grau-du-Roi from €10 per day. The journey takes about 50 minutes without stops, and bicycles are allowed on board. This travel solution can reduce CO₂ emissions by up to 86% compared to travelling by car and is an excellent way to discover the Camargue while limiting your carbon footprint. For an additional €2 per journey, liO buses allow you to easily extend your trip and explore the territory further.
Take liO bus line 132 towards Le Grau-du-Roi. The bus departs from the bus station located behind the SNCF train station and takes you to the Tour de Constance, at the entrance to the medieval city.
Take liO bus line 606 towards Aigues-Mortes to easily reach your destination. It is accessible from tram line 1 (blue line) at Place de France station, as well as from Montpellier Sud de France SNCF station. The journey will take you directly to the Tour de Constance.
Aigues-Mortes is ideally served by several long-distance cycling routes :
► ViaRhôna : from Lake Geneva to Sète, passing through Aigues-Mortes and the Camargue.
► Mediterranean by Bike : from Cádiz (Spain) to Cyprus, linking the ViaRhôna to Sète and following the Mediterranean coast.
► Canal des Deux Mers by Bike : from Royan to Narbonne/Béziers, connecting with the Mediterranean cycling route.
► Vélo Sud : from Biarritz to Barcarès, joining the Mediterranean cycling route near Saint-Laurent-de-la-Salanque.

Carpooling is a simple and friendly way to reach Aigues-Mortes. Several platforms offer regular rides to the medieval city, including Karos, Mobicoop and Blablacar.

A LiO shuttle bus (line 620) connects the airport to Montpellier Sud de France station or to tram line 1 (blue line), Place de France stop. From these points, bus line 606 provides a connection to Aigues-Mortes and drops you off at the entrance of the medieval city.
A Tango Nîmes shuttle connects the airport to several points in Nîmes : SNCF train station, city centre and hotel zone. From Nîmes Centre station, you can then take the TER train or TER bus, or bus line 132 from the bus station located behind the SNCF train station.
