Visit to the Jean-Elie Agnel manade

25

Marie and Jean Elie, authentic and passionate manadiers, welcome you all year round to Mas Les Hourtès, a unique site in Le Cailar. This historic property, formerly owned by Bernard de Montaut-Manse, famous lawyer, poet and manadier, opens its doors to you to experience the traditions of the Camargue.

Discover the ferrade, the manade tour, the gardian games, as well as days dedicated to the discovery of local customs. The reception hall is also available for private events and groups (baptisms, communions, associations, schools, senior citizens).

> From June 15 to September 15, immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the Soirées Camarguaises from 6.30pm: presentation of the manade, cattle sorting, Camargue race demonstrations and Bandido di bioù. An interpreter in English, Spanish or Swedish can be booked.

Enjoy a convivial aperitif featuring local wines and Camargue specialties (brasucade de moules, tapenade, chickpeas), followed by a traditional meal: mixed salad, gardiane de taureau AOP, rice, goat's cheese and honey, fougasse d'Aigues-Mortes, coffee and wine.
