Located between sea and salt, the Salin d'Aigues-Mortes is in the immediate vicinity of the medieval city and its famous ramparts. This exceptional site, made up of ponds irrigated by water from the Mediterranean Sea, is the production site for food and industrial salt, as well as the famous fleur de sel, harvested by hand using traditional methods.

Today, ten salt-makers perpetuate this ancestral tradition, meticulously managing the flow of water according to sunshine, winds, storms and salinity.

The Salin d'Aigues-Mortes offers a breathtaking landscape of sparkling pink water, salt tables and rich, protected biodiversity. From certain vantage points, you can admire the ramparts of Aigues-Mortes, a panorama combining wild nature and historical heritage.
