The Petit Rhône Nature Reserve

Created in 2017, the Petit Rhône Nature Reserve covers approximately 70 hectares, divided into two separate areas where visitors can discover the rich wildlife and plant life of the Gard Camargue.

Once an abandoned site, it has been restored to preserve and showcase the natural diversity of the Petite Camargue. Whereas around 60 bird species were originally recorded here, more than 100 can now be observed, and this number continues to grow.

Individual hides designed for wildlife photography are also available, offering ideal conditions for observing nature in peace and quiet.

The reserve can be explored on foot along a signposted trail of approximately 4.5 km. Allow at least 1 hour and 30 minutes to visit the entire site.

Electric buggies are also available for hire, providing a more comfortable and accessible way to explore the reserve.
