A 13th-century fortified wall built on the initiative of Louis IX. The 1,634-meter-long ramparts surround the town and are flanked by 10 gates and 6 towers. The Tour de Constance is one of the most majestic examples of medieval architecture. It is also infamous for having served as a prison for Protestant women from 1685 onwards.
Visit the permanent exhibitions on St. Louis & the Mediterranean, architecture, decor and Protestant history.
