Public transportation

Several options exist for getting to and around Aigues-Mortes, planes, trains and automobiles... traveling about with family or going to the beach...  It is easy to get around the Camargue, from one village to the other or from town to the coast.


By bus

Transports en commun

Bus line 132  connects the bus terminal in Nîmes with Aigues-Mortes all year round, including Sundays and national holidays (reduced hours). The trip takes about 1.5 hours. You can track the bus in real time, to anticipate its arrival, by downloading the Pysae App on Google Play or Applestore.


The line 606 connects Aigues-Mortes with the Bus Terminal in Montepellier Sud de France. It runs every day, including Sundays and national holidays (reduced hours). The trip takes around 75 minutes.


There are two bus stops in Aigues-Mortes: Gare SNCF and Tour de Constance. The latter is ideal for exploring the town, it's located at the foot of the ramparts!


By train

The Nîmes <> Aigues-Mortes <> Grau du Roi train line is very practical in high season. You can easily reach Aigues-Mortes from Nîmes in around 45 minutes. It's also a popular line for getting from town to the sea. You're there in just 10 minutes!

The SNCF station is only open during times the trains are scheduled. There's a black automatic ticket dispenser in front of the station, where you can purchase your tickets in the absence of an attendant. All you have to do is insert 1€ - the price for one way fare - to obtain a ticket.
