Pénitents Gris Chapel

Pénitents Gris Chapel

About :

The first chapel was built around the 1400s on the spot of an ancient convent of monks known as The Cordeliers. It was later destroyed during the religious wars, and then rebuilt at the beginning of the 17th century. The chapel houses a primitive baroque-style altar; it is the work of Jean Sabatier, a sculptor from Montpellier, representing the Passion of Christ.
