Photography Workshops : “Bulls and Gardians” - Cécile Domens

The photography workshops “Bulls and Gardians” invite you to photograph Camargue bulls in their natural environment, among marshes and tall grasses. Guided by gardians (traditional Camargue cowboys) on horseback, a herd of 15 to 20 bulls roams freely while photographers observe from an elevated position on a large trailer pulled by a tractor. This setup makes it possible to move closer to the action while minimising the risk of frightening the animals.

Throughout the session, experiment with different shots and try to capture the bulls in motion, in the water, amid clouds of dust or through the vegetation. The workshop ends with a demonstration of sorting the bulls in the corral, led by the gardians on horseback. An opportunity to capture a wide variety of photographs and discover an iconic Camargue tradition!

Programme:

> 30 to 45 minutes of outdoor photography tips;
> Approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes of photography with exclusive access.

Open to all levels, from beginners to experienced photographers, these workshops take place in small groups of 7 to 10 participants in Aigues-Mortes or the surrounding area.
