Every year in April, Aigues-Mortes celebrates the arrival of spring with Spring in Camargue, a festive and family-friendly weekend at the heart of local traditions. Between transhumance, roussataïo, children’s activities, and culinary discoveries, the town comes alive in a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Every spring, Aigues-Mortes lights up to celebrate the season with a festive, joyful, and surprise-filled weekend. A family-friendly event where Camargue traditions, nature, and togetherness come together for unforgettable moments.
On this occasion, the town is beautifully decorated with color : numerous colorful butterflies are installed along Rue Jean Jaurès and throughout the city.
For two days, the town comes alive with activities for all tastes :
- Transhumance : sheep parade through the streets of the town
- Roussataïo : release of mares accompanied by their foals
- Educational mini-farm : animal encounters, brushing, and feeding
- Games and adventures for children : treasure hunts*, wooden and traditional games, pedal karts, bowling, and giant Connect 4
- Creative and artistic workshops : painting, customization, tattoos, and glitter
- Shows : soap bubbles, magic, and juggling
- Musical entertainment : “peña” in the market and concerts for all tastes
- Tastings : AOP Sable de Camargue wines
- Exhibition at the Chapelle des Capucins
