The "Les portes du Vidourle" itinerary offers a pleasant 8.3 km loop, ideal for a walk or bike ride, accessible to all. This walk invites you to discover the natural landscapes surrounding the city of Aigues-Mortes.
The route begins gently along the canal, halfway along reaching the Vidourle gates, a hydraulic structure designed to protect the city of Aigues-Mortes from flooding and bearing witness to the close relationship between man and his environment. The route continues through shady woods, ideal for relaxing.
Further along, the path skirts the property of a manade, where you may be lucky enough to catch a glimpse of Camargue horses and bulls.
Between water, forest and local traditions, this varied walk offers an authentic immersion in the region's nature and living heritage.
