1. THE KNIGHTS' TREASURE HUNT

Upon their return from the Crusades, the knights who followed Saint Louis are said to have hidden a precious treasure within the city walls. To this day, it remains undiscovered... except by those clever enough to solve the riddles and overcome the challenges left in their path.

2. THE TEMPLARS' TREASURE HUNT

Another legend tells that the Templars also hid their riches in the heart of Aigues-Mortes. This adventure immerses you in the mysterious world of these knights and invites you to explore every corner of the fortified town to uncover their secrets.

WHEN TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TREASURE HUNTS ?

April to June  : Every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Closed on weekends between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m.). Registrations until 3 p.m. — Return before 4:30 p.m.

July and August : Every day from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Registrations until 4 p.m. — Return before 5:30 p.m.

September and October : Every day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (Closed on weekends between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m.). Registrations until 3 p.m. — Return before 4:30 p.m.

November to March : Monday to Saturday (excluding school holidays), from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. (Closed on weekends between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m.). Registrations until 2 p.m. — Return before 3:30 p.m.

THE TREASURE HUNT ROUTE

Whichever treasure you’re seeking, your quest will lead you through the most iconic landmarks of Aigues-Mortes. Each step of the journey is filled with riddles to solve, details to observe, and secrets to uncover.

Each location offers a chance to solve a puzzle and discover a piece of the past… or a clue leading to the treasure.

Practical Information

The treasure hunts are ideal activities for children aged 5 to 12 to enjoy with their families. Priced at €3 per booklet, each hunt lasts approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.  Registration takes place at the Tourist Office located on Place Saint-Louis. A great way to explore the town and have fun as a family !

Important : No treasure hunts are available starting from the Friday of the Saint-Louis weekend and during the 15 days of the votive festival.

The Curse of Gaspard (available only in French)

Set off on an adventure with The Curse of Gaspard, a digital treasure hunt to enjoy with family or friends, directly from your smartphone.

Designed for groups of up to five players, this interactive trail immerses you in the mysterious atmosphere of Aigues-Mortes, as you wander through its history-filled streets.

Your mission : help Gaspard, an enigmatic character, break a strange curse. To succeed, you'll need to solve riddles, observe the details of the fortified town, and use logic and teamwork.

The Coloring Book

Designed for young visitors from 5 years old (and the young at heart), this coloring book offers a fun way to discover Aigues-Mortes and its surroundings. Through original illustrations, it invites you to explore the city’s ramparts, meet brave knights, and immerse yourself in the iconic flora and fauna of the Camargue.

Each page is accompanied by a short explanatory text, combining creative activity with the discovery of local heritage. It’s the perfect way to extend your visit while having fun.

Available for €5, the coloring book comes with its own set of colored pencils.
